HUMAX freeview TV recorder
Price: Around £130
Got a HUMAX PVR-9150T a week ago and it's proving to be a great bit of kit. It records TV, and only TV, and what a good job it does. I'll run down a few of the best features....
First, if it's not in standby its allways recording a rolling hour of the current channel, so if you get in and find you missed the first 10 mins of a program you wanted to watch, so long as you left it on the right channel, its there, just rewind. Then theres pause TV, if the phone goes just press pause, when the call is over press pause again, you dont miss a thing.
If you press record the current channel starts to record, you can rewind to the start (or just back a bit if you choose) and watch while the program is still recording! Way cool! Setting up stuff to record in advance is so easy, use the program guide, scroll to a prog press enter and choose one off or series and its done - two tuners mean you can record two programs on different channels.
Heres the headline features Humax list:
- Simultaneous viewing of one channel and recording another channel
- Freeview+
- Simultaneous playback of previous recording and recording of 2 channels
- Up to 100 hours of recording on an integrated 160GB HDD
- MPEG-2 Digital & Fully DVB-T Compliant
- Picture In Picture (PIP) for viewing 2 programs on 1 screen
- Pause & Play live TV (Time Shift Recording)
- One touch record scheduling in EPG
- Common Interface for Pay TV
- Software Upgrade via OTA & serial connection (RS-232C)
Unfortunately for our overseas readers, the HUMAX is UK freeview only... Sorry!
