I must have been through 10-12 microphones over the years and I have never found one I actually liked using, usually I would go for a headset for Skype/Ventrilo but I decided it was time to try a Clip-on mic as I was sick of the poor quality of the headsets I had used that had microphones attached. Initially I was looking at the Sony ECM-CS10 Powered Stereo mic that is similar to the PC50 but I thought there would be compatibility problems with the PC and I also hate having to use/buy batteries for things unless they are Wireless/Portable.

Summing up
If you're after a Microphone for Ventrilo or just want to record an interview with a Minidisk or Mp3 player this Mic is one of the best you can get, Its sound quality is very good, It has a wide range of frequencys (50-15000hz) that it can pickup and the volume is very good, Only getting "buzzy" when it hits the deepest bass.
The 2 piece Mic stand is a bit Lightweight but so is the microphone so it doesnt fall over when its all setup, the cable is 1.2 Meters in Length and has a standard Gold Plated 3.5mm stereo jack on it (although the mic is mono, its wired to both channels) , The Mic itself is just under 2CM's and is so light (10g) you can hardly tell it clipped on. It is also a breeze to change from the Stand to the TieClip and the little carry bag is useful if you have to go to meetings/interviews and record them since you can just put it in your laptop bag or briefcase, I have used it on Ventrilo/Skype and Team Fortress 2 with excellent results.
I did think the price was a bit high but that is also one of the reasons i bought it, I was curious what a £20 Mic sounded like when theres similar products out there for about £5 delivered, this Mic reminds me of the type that is used on TV (minus the fuzzy windcover) and I think the sound quality could be compared to broadcast quality if used with a decent soundcard.
Sound quality 9/10
Size 10/10
Value for Money 7/10
Extras 10/10
