Jvc Ha-l50-B Lightweight Headphone review

price paid £5 @ local sainsburys (marked half price)

Having tried a fair few headphones over the years I quite enjoy messing around with new ones, even if they are a lot cheaper than my current pair (Grado sr-60's). I was just browsing in my local supermarket (sainsburys) when I noticed these JVC headphones at half price. I thought they would be handy for my minidisk (or MP3 player if i ever get one).

Joby GorillaPod flexible tripod

Price paid £12.57 including delivery from CameraKing via Amazon

You’ve climbed the mountain, or found the one quiet spot on the beach, and you want a group photo - unfortunately, there’s nowhere secure to balance the camera, so you end up missing from the picture. This is the sort of situation the Joby GorillaPod is meant for – it’s a tripod, but with a difference, since its flexible legs can be wrapped around branches, or jammed into crevices, to allow you to take a picture literally anywhere.

Taxi 1998 DVD Review

I Only recently watched Taxi, I had heard of it before and seen it in shops but was never tempted to buy it because it didn't have any "big name" actors in it, when i saw that Luc Besson (Léon, The Fifth Element) Wrote the screenplay that swung it for me, I Decided to grab a copy off Ebay and to my own surprise I really enjoyed it, the special effects are very good, there are lots of nice car chases and plenty of funny jokes to keep the pace of the story up.

The Slip album cover.

Nine Inch Nails - The Slip (2008)

Price paid £0 from theslip.nin.com.

If all music was free? I wouldn’t have any complaints paying for music if it was all this good. A brief look into Halo Twenty-seven; The Slip, an album so good I might even consider buying it! This is different to what they've released before, despite being their shortest album to date it's definitely one of their best. There are aspects of Year Zero, With Teeth, and still some of the old magic of Pretty Hate Machine.

Gerber Legend 800 multi-tool long-term review

Price paid around £65 from ebay.co.uk

Every geek really should own a multi-tool, just like every extreme sports freak should. A multi-tool is just as useful repairing computers in the server room or fighting your way into blisterpack products as it is repairing a Landrover in the Sahara or fighting off a giant squid. The multi-tool of choice for most has been the Leatherman Wave, but I decided to get the Gerber Legend 800 instead.
